Roamer Becomes a Bee!

No, Roamer is not going to become a BeeBot, but it is going become part of Liss Junior School’s Bee Project. Earlier this year Liss school was one of 12 finalists selected from 300 entries into the Guardian’s “School We’d Like” competition. Roamer Listed as a Headline Show

The Big Bang Fair is scheduled for Birmingham NEC between March 13th to 16th 2014. The organisers have listed Roamer ‘Rithmetic as a must see interactive event. The Big Bang attracts 30,000 plus students all eager to engage in hands on interactive, science, maths and technology activities. Roamer Part of CAS Primary Training Programme
CAS (Computers At School) is charged with the task of training English Primary School Teachers to deliver the new Computing Curriculum from September 2014. Roamer Helps Launch of Islington’s Computer Strategy
Kate Hudson and Roamer joined teachers, children and dignitaries at the launch of Islington’s computer strategy at the Assembly Halls. The cornerstone of the approach is the Code Clubs which are in all Islington Schools. Islington’s Computer Strategy Launch Features Roamer

Radio and television presenter Maggie Philbin will attend the launch of Islington’s Computing Strategy this week.
Year 2 children from Laycock Primary School in Islington will demonstrate Roamer as part of the launch of the Computer Strategy developed by the Islington Council’s Children’s Services. Islington is one of several ICT Teams finding Roamer a useful part of the effort to meet England’s new Computer Curriculum.
The launch will take place on Wednesday 8th January at 1:30 pm at the Assembly Halls, Upper Street Islington.
A Day in the Life of an Educational Robot
Valiant continue their research programme on the use of Roamer and Educational Robots. Dave Catlin’s paper A Day in the Life of an Educational Robot has been accepted for the RiE 2013 The 4th International Robtics in Education Conference.
